Arts and Culture is a SignBridge priority for a few reasons;

• Deaf and hard-of-hearing people have skills and talents to share with hearing people. We want to give them an opportunity to share them.
• When hearing people are given the opportunity to meet Deaf people and learn more about Deaf culture, their awareness can lead to a more accommodating community
• Because they sometimes have less access to incidental learning, Deaf people may have missed out on opportunities for exposure to artistic and cultural experiences.
• Arts and Cultural events are a great way for people to share a common experience – something to talk about while learning a new language or making a new friend.
