We are in the process of developing an innovative, immersive, language program for the whole family. This will support the language development of deaf and hard-of-hearing children in the critical years before they reach school-age, and ensure that they have strong two-way communication with parents and siblings.

This program will provide:

• Instruction for parents in language development and research-backed language facilitation techniques
• Support for language development across all modalities (spoken, signed, and augmentative)
• Opportunities for immersive sign language exposure for the whole family in a natural, play environment with fluent deaf sign language users.
• Connection with other families for support
• Feedback on techniques to optimize language acquisition for all
